Shanghai Monthly FOI Report (January of 2007)

There are 719 requests received by Shanghai Governments in January of 2007. 632 requests have been finalized in this month. Of which, 541 were granted in full, accounting for 85.6%, while only 14 in part. 77 (12.2%) were refused. Of these refusals, 33 were refused as the informaiton requested are not held by the relative departments, 33 were refused as the information requested is not existed and 1 was rejected as the information requested is unclear. The information requested by other 3 appliants did not fall into the scope of information defined in the Shanghai FOI legislation. The rest(5) fell into the stipulated six FOI exemptions.
